What can I expect at my child’s first appointment?
The “happy visit” is the first visit for a young child. We simply introduce the child to the dentist’s office in a fun and exploratory nature. We will take them on a ride in the dental chair and introduce them to some of our friends who will help them learn to take care of their teeth and help them feel more comfortable in the dentist’s office. Some children have their teeth cleaned at the first visit and other children take another visit or two to become comfortable with the environment before getting their teeth cleaned. Either way is fine as long as we all learn that coming to the dentist is both fun and important!
