Ashley Porter Ayuso, DDS

Dr. Ayuso is from Winston-Salem and is Dr. Porter’s daughter. She graduated from West Forsyth High School as well, and went on to follow in her father’s footsteps at NC State, where she graduated cum laude with a Bachelor’s degree in Zoology. Dr. Ayuso then completed her education at UNC School of Dentistry, receiving her Doctorate of Dental Surgery (DDS) in May of 2014.

Dr. Ayuso is a member of the Forsyth County Dental Society. She previously served as President, secretary, treasurer, and program director. She is also a member of the North Carolina Dental Society and the American Dental Association. Dr. Ayuso is past President of the Second District of the North Carolina Dental Society. Dr. Ayuso completed the 2014 NCDS Leadership Academy and attended the ADA Annual Session to complete courses in implant and laser dentistry. Dr. Ayuso completed her fellowship in Implant Dentistry and is a member of the International Dental Implant Association. She was recently inducted into the Pierre Fauchard Academy for outstanding services to the profession of Dentistry.

She has always had a passion for community service and has been a dedicated member of the NC Missions of Mercy projects since 2006. She also spent time providing dental services to the underserved in Costa Rica and Panama while receiving her education. Dr. Ayuso, her colleagues, and staff all serve at the local Community Care Clinic and in the past helped Dr. Porter to organize and run the local NC: MOM Winston-Salem Dental Clinic where they provided free dental services to those without access to dental care.

Dr. Ayuso is also a proud member of the Reynolda Rotary Club. She served as Chair of the Community Teams Committee for the American Heart Association Winston Salem Heart Walk in 2016. Dr. Ayuso has two children, James and Emma, and enjoys swimming, cooking, and spending time at the beach with her family.
