Dr. Tony Porter, DDS
A Great Dentist

What if I'm afraid of the dentist?

If you’re feeling anxious about your dental treatment, we can tell you that there’s nothing to worry about! The team at Lyndhurst Dental Associates is trained to take special care to keep our patients comfortable.

Your comfort is our top priority, and if you’re stressed about your treatment, we need to address your concerns. We’ve helped many apprehensive patients receive necessary dental care.

Aside from our gentle approach, we also offer effective sedation options that will keep you calm and comfortable. First, the area we’re treating will be numbed completely so you will not feel anything. We can help calm your nerves with nitrous oxide (laughing gas), a mild, but very effective, form of sedation. All you have to do is breathe, and you will immediately feel drowsy and relaxed.

If you have significant anxiety, our doctors can also talk to you about a mild sedative that you take before you arrive for your appointment. That way, you will already feel calm when you arrive at our office. By combining oral sedation with nitrous oxide, we can provide you with truly stress-free treatment.

We urge you not to put off important treatment due to anxiety and worry. Please contact our Winston-Salem dental office, and we will be happy to answer any questions you have about our stress-free dental treatment.
