Meet Our Team
Dr. Tony Porter
Originally from Clemmons, Dr. Tony Porter graduated from West Forsyth High School and earned his Eagle Scout Award from Troop 752. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in zoology from North Carolina State University. While he was earning his degree, he also worked as an orthodontic lab technician.
Dr. Porter graduated from UNC School of Dentistry in 1990. Following graduation, he attended an Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency at the University of Florida in Gainesville.
Dr. Porter and his family returned to Winston-Salem in 1994, and he began practicing at the current location – 3031 Lyndhurst Avenue.
Because Dr. Porter knows it’s important to stay on top of developments in the dental field, he is a member of several professional associations. He has served as an officer and as President of the Forsyth County Dental Society and the Second District of the North Carolina Dental Society. He is also active in the North Carolina Dental Society and serves as a committee member for the NC MOM clinics. He is also the Former Chair of the NCDS BOT, Member International College of Dentists. Additionally, Dr. Porter is a committee member for the UNC Dental Alumni Association, a member of the Pierre Fauchard Academy, and an examiner for the Council of Interstate Testing Agencies.
Even though Dr. Porter is immersed in Carolina Blue, he still bleeds Wolfpack Red! Dr. Porter is a lifetime member of the NC State Alumni Association and an avid member of the Wolfpack Club. His son, Alex, is a Junior Wolfpack Club member, and his daughter, Ashley, graduated from NC State before going to dental school at UNC. Dr. Porter and his wife, Angie, can be seen at most Wolfpack basketball games since they have season tickets and lifetime rights!
Dr. Porter and his family are active in the community, helping at Alex’s school, attending church at Center Grove Baptist, and working with the Scouts in Troop 752.
Dr. Ashley White
Dr. White is from Winston-Salem and is Dr. Porter's daughter. She graduated from West Forsyth High School, as well, and went on to follow in her father's footsteps at NC State, where she graduated cum laude with a Bachelor's degree in Zoology. Dr. White then completed her education at UNC School of Dentistry, receiving her DDS in May of 2014.
Dr. White is a member of the Forsyth County Dental Society. She is currently serving as Secretary and served previously as treasurer and program director. She is also a member of the North Carolina Dental Society and the American Dental Association. Dr. White currently serves as Vice President of the second district of the NCDS (North Carolina Dental Society). Dr. White recently completed the 2014 NCDS Leadership Academy and attended the ADA Annual Session to complete courses in implant and laser dentistry. Dr. White completed her fellowship in Implant Dentistry and is a member of the International Dental Implant Association.
She has always had a passion for community service and has been a dedicated member of the NC Missions of Mercy projects since 2006. She also spent time providing dental services to the underserved in Costa Rica and Panama while receiving her education. Dr. White, her colleagues, and staff all serve at the local Community Care Clinic and in the past helped Dr. Porter to organize and run the local NC: MOM Winston-Salem Dental Clinic where they provided free dental services to those without access to dental care.
Dr. White is also a proud member of the Reynolda Rotary Club. She served as Chair of the Community Teams Committee for the American Heart Association Winston Salem Heart Walk in 2016. Dr. White enjoys swimming, cooking, and spending time at the beach with her family.
Dr. Michael Bost
Dr. Bost is originally from Marion, NC. Dr. Bost began practicing dentistry in Winston-Salem, NC, after serving as a Captain in the Air Force for two years. He graduated from the University of North Carolina with an A.B. in English. After a year in the school of pharmacy, he earned his DDS from the UNC School Dentistry.
Dr. Bost is a member of the ADA and the NCDS, and past president of the Forsyth County Dental Society. Dr. Bost has served as both an educator and an esteemed member of many organizations, including his time as a Clinical Instructor with the Bowman Gray School of Medicine, his service at the Council of Interstate Testing Agencies (CITA) as a dental licensure examiner, and his time with the University of Pacific School of Dentistry with Forensic Dental Identification.
His wife is an artist, and they have two grown children, Walter and Andrea. Dr. Bost is glad to join Lyndhurst Dental Associates and looks forward to providing a wide range of dental services to our family of patients.
