Dentures & Partials

We’re aware that many people resist the idea of getting dentures. This is most likely due to the fact that dentures made years ago looked fake and caused embarrassment, irritation, and discomfort.

Dentures are meant to solve problems, not create them. No two smiles are alike, and at Lyndhurst Dental Associates we don’t create one-size-fits-all dentures. Modern materials and technology have opened the door to creating dentures that are stable, comfortable, and actually enhance your appearance.

State-of-the-Art Modern Dentures

There are two types of dentures – full and partial. Both are removable dental prosthetics that takes the place of missing teeth. Partials are appropriate when a few of your teeth are missing. We use complete dentures when you’re missing all of your teeth.

Today’s dentures are carefully crafted at a special lab by highly experienced technicians. They use state-of-the-art technology and materials that look, fit, and feel as close to natural teeth as possible. Each denture is made up of a base of dental resin that is designed to look like natural gum tissue. The replacement teeth of the denture are placed securely in this base one at a time for a natural appearance.

Before we take the first step in the dentures process, we will take time to talk to you about your expectations. You are part of the process every step of the way, and we work with you to customize your dentures so that they complement the shape of your face, your skin tone, and even your hair color!

Dental Implants for Added Stability

One of the most common complaints we hear about older dentures is that they move and slip, leading to irritation and awkward situations.

If you’re concerned that your dentures won’t stay in place, we can use dental implants for a more stable and secure fit.

An implant-supported denture is supported by and attached to dental implants so that it remains in place while eating, talking, and chewing. Implant-retained dentures offer a more permanent solution than removable dentures because they are held securely in place with dental implants.
